<description>-- This Weekend--
Alec needs some help at the working meet
He intends to install the new reservoir so bring your spades and wellies.
Also we want to tidy up the hut for winter. This requires cleaning and painting.
We can all help at this.
All welcome
Contact Alec if you are coming along.

Alec's message
&quot;I am writing just to let you know that the next working party meet at PCU will be on the weekend of 3rd/5th September and not, as stated in the newsletter on 15th/17th October. The main task at the meet will be fitting the new sluice gate to the dam and the date has been brought forward as it will be too cold to do this type of work in October. Please give Alec a call on 01270 585525 to find out more&quot;.

<title>Evening Meets </title>
<link>http://www.chestermc.org/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=109</link>
<description>Next week the meet is at Helsby/Frodsham followed by the Helsby Arms for a drink.
For any changes check the website

This week, even with the poor weather we had people climbing at Helsby and Fridsham. Three of use went for a walk around Helsby hill and a load turnd out at the pub to discuss holiday plans

How to get to Helsby cliff
Follow the A56 through Helsby. At the Post Office, this is on the opposite side to the hill. Turn off up the hill into Crescent Drive. Follow this road to its top and park. Across the road in front is woods going up the hill. Follow a path up first to a path contouring around and turn left then follow the first steep track up right. This leads to the right hand side of the cliff. Drop down a bit to the left to find the climbing.

How to get to Frodsham
Follow A56 out of Helsby passed school on left. Just after speed camera turn right down a lane beside a day nursery. At the top of the road turn right and go along till some buildings on the right. Park beside these. Opposite is a private road going up the hill. Walk up this to top and go through gate. Follow path up hill. When you reach a flat area you have gone 50ft too high! You are just above the cliffs that are further on.
Drop back down to small track going off right (left on way up). Follow this along under the cliffs (20ft high) till you find someone. Or just climb.
