    A group of us have booked to go to Paklenica from 22-29th May
    We are flying from Birmingham to Split and then hiring a car to drive to the Park. We will be staying in apartments at Starigrad.
    Club members have climbed here in 2005/6/9 and found it to be a good venue offering all grades of trad and some bolted climbs.
    Others club members all welcome to join us.

    ---The date for your diaries --
    Meet at the quarry from 10am where you will be given a choice of jobs, lent equipment, and fed with tea, (homemade) cake and biscuits until the job is done.

    The jobs include clearing vegetation from the base of the crag, felling trees close to the face to improve air circulation, removing litter, and cleaning routes which have become overgrown.

    The day will run from 10am to 4pm whatever the weather, with a likely retreat to a local pub afterwards for beer and chips.

    Pete is giving a slideshow with music on recent climbs in Morocco. As always the talk will be at the Peacock Hotel. The late start time is to ensure people can get some climbing in at the wall beforehand. Members are welcome to turn up early and have a chat.
    Pete and friends have spent some weeks developing the area on the northern side of the range from Tafroute.
    Come and find out about the climbs, when to go, where to stay etc, before you book your flight.

    --- Next Weekend---

    Jonathan Clarke is celebrating his 50th birthday and welcomes all to PCU on the weekend of the 22nd/24th January 2010.
    The idea is to sample the winter climbing and/or walking/biking conditions followed by a do in the hut. Plenty of drink and nibbles will be provided including the now obligatory Weetwood best although any additional contributions would be gratefully received!
    All Welcome.

    "There are still a few spare spaces at the hut this weekend and there will be plenty to drink. Hopefully not all the snow will have melted! Everybody welcome and from the weather forecast hut access should hopefully be OK.

    This week we will be at the Peacock Hotel for the Talk.

    If there is no official meet on.
    Climbers will be at a climbing wall, usually Warrington.
    After climbing we all head off to the Helsby Arms, Helsby to arrive at about 10-20pm
    People not interested in walls are welcome to come along and have chat before we arrive. Save us a place.
    The Helsby Arms is at the junction of the A56 and the Chester road WA6 0JE
