This meet will take place in Hope Valley in the Peak District and for a change we will be camping. This is a great chance to climb on legendary gritstone! The gritstone edges (e.g. Stanage) provide ideal challenges for climbers of all abilities. Hope Valley is also conveniently located for walking and cycling.

The plan for those of you coming to the Peak this weekend is to camp at Hardhurst Farm, Hope Valley, S33 6RB (tel 01433 620001). This is on the main road from Hope to Hathersage, behind the Travellers Rest Pub. If you are the first to arrive, we have pitches booked under my name.

For people who are hoping to just turn up at some point, then be warned, the campsite is likely to be fully booked! If you are planning to just come along for the day, then meet us in the morning (Saturday or Sunday) at the campsite to be sociable (cant imagine we will be out climbing too early!!). See you all there. Tanya

If you are interested in coming along for the day contact Tanya Milner by email (tanyamilner@hotmail.com) or phone (in the book)

This is a chance to walk the 3000's with some back up. Alec has offered to provide support for the walkers.
You can just walk one of two of the stages if you wish.
If there are no names before the day he will just go for a walk himself.

Update!: Can anyone wishing to take part please let Alec know ASAP so he can sort out the Brews and or transport etc.

See Meet report in body text.

This meet will take place at our club hut Pen Ceunant Uchaf in Llanberis.

We are inviting all of our newer members so that you can all meet up with each
other and also meet some of the other club members. It will be a great
chance for you to meet similar people who are trying to get involved in the
clubs mountaineering program and hopefully you will find some people that
have similar aspirations and abilities. The idea is for us all to meet up at
the hut and we will organise something so that all will be included. This
may result in people going out in small groups of similar abilities.

Can you let us know (at least a week in advance) if you wish to attend the
meet and if you will be staying at the hut (£3/night).
It might be possible to arrange some transport if so let us know.

Arjen & Mirjam Mateboer (meet organisers)
